Project Name: Community Forest Management Planning
Client: MainStreet Communities
Location: Albuquerque, Grants, Deming, Carlsbad
Year: 2024-current

Building on lessons learned from the Statewide Community Forest Analysis and Management Plan in 2019, our team has completed tree inventories with MainStreet organizations in Downtown Albuquerque, Carlsbad, and Grants, and Deming, NM. These unique projects go beyond the typical community tree inventory scope, engaging community volunteers and municipal staff to collect quantitative and qualitative data about urban trees and apply lessons learned to broader public infrastructure planning. The inventory data is used to develop realistic management strategies and asset-based project concepts to support a healthy environment and economic development.
